UltraTile ProPave Slurry Primer

UltraTile ProPave Slurry Primer is a polymer modified cementitious slurry primer specifically formulated to provide exceptional bond between all types of stone surfaces and UltraTile ProPave Mortar.

The Slurry Primer is the second stage of the ProPave External Tiling System, applied after the first stage of ProPave Mortar Fibre Modified Cement Binder. Follow with ProPave Grout.

How To Use

Firstly prepare your sub-base of 30 - 100mm of type 1 hardcore / compact stone.

Follow with a bed of ProPave Mortar Fibre Modified Cement Binder. Once laid, now it's time for the ProPave Slurry Primer. The slurry primer is applied to the reverse side of your tile, then positioned on to the bedding mortar, ensuring wet on wet contact.

Prepare the slurry primer as per the package instructions and mix slowly for 3 - 5 minutes to achieve a smooth lump-free consistency.

Prime the reverse of the tile with a thickness of 1 - 2mm immediately before placement upon the mortar bed. You can use a paint roller for super quick and easy application.

Place your tiles down on the mortar bed and position how you usually would when installing tiles, generally with the use of a rubber mallet and level. Wipe away any excess mortar from the tile surface with a damp sponge or cloth. You are now ready to carry on the ProPave External Tiling System with ProPave Grout.
